The Goillet is an artificial lake in which the Matterhorn, with its imposing height of 4,478 m, is reflected. Its formation dates back to the period 1939-1948, when, in a monumental work, the dam was built to regulate the hydraulic energy available throughout the year.

Mountain biking

At over 2,600 metres, this high-altitude lake is set in a wonderfully unspoilt setting at the foot of the Matterhorn. Seeing the waters contrast with this iconic Alpine peak is a magnificent sight. There’s no better place to ride close to nature.
