The old road is buried under a thick layer of earth. But the path still leads dead straight through the wide fields. Pretty uneven. Further north, the path is hardly there. The roman road on the S end of this segment (near the houses) passes rather on the W parallel track along the field, confirmed by the surface and the resident.

If you gravel or are in a hurry like I was to get back to your start, this can be a good alternative, always straight. Occasionally you can see ancient eroded pavements, in others modern ones that should have never been placed there. After the D62 road towards N, it is a dead end to the entrance of a field but you will still find an ancient wayside cross to protect travellers.
