The Jesuit College (1591-1794)
The Central School (1794-1803)
The School of Restoration (1815-1858)
The canton school (1856-1978)
The canton high school (since 1979)
1979 - The Kantonsschule becomes the Kantonales Gymnasium and Business School Porrentruy on January 1st.
1982 - Biology classes are now given in the renovated Villa Beucler.
1989 - Official inauguration of the Jura Museum of Natural Sciences.
1990 - First high school diploma with a type D (modern languages).
1997 - First Abitur with type F cantonal qualification (departments of fine arts, music and theatre).
2000 - Introduction of the new tire.

Porrentruy was once considered the spiritual center of the region. There are still various schools and high schools in the city today. The cantonal grammar school in Porrentruy also houses the second oldest botanical garden in Switzerland after Basel on the back and in the inner courtyard. A visit will be worth it in any case.
