Tips
The detour is worth it for a break. If you take one here, you'll desperately need it. The forest path before it is already "awful." And the best part: if you continue cycling along the canal towards the Geeste, it unfortunately doesn't get any better in many very sandy spots.This is written by a touring cyclist, not a mountain biker.
