In the only graphite mine in Germany, you can feel the work of the miners up close. Equipped with helmet and smock, it's down to 45 meters, where you'll learn everything about mining and graphite. A nice stopover, by the way, if you want to bridge a rainstorm: down there it never rains;)

Graphite has been actively mined again in Kropfmühl since 2012.The Graphite Visitor Mine has existed since 1983. Since 2015, the tunnel building, the old winding tower and, since 2016, the Graphite Museum have shone in new splendor.
