Hiking

Every Thursday in Advent there is the 'Engelämter' - also called 'Rorate' - in Ruhpolding in the evening. These Advent services are traditionally only celebrated with candlelight. They take their name from the angel who brought the message to Mary to conceive a child. The ministry of angels is shaped by the expectation and by the symbol of the light that illuminates the night. The second Engelamt takes place on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception in the remote little church 'Maria Schnee' in the Urschlau and is musically performed by Kirabiche Viergsang.
