In 1884 the old church was demolished because it was dilapidated. After that, all parishioners pitched in to make the construction of the new Church of St. Lucia possible. That is why the magnificent church in Immekeppel is where it is today.

Today's church was built in 1891 by the community itself. It stands on the place where earlier, since 1400, stood the old church, which was demolished in 1884 due to dilapidation. The organ, a figure of a saint from 1723 and a processional cross from the 11th century are particularly worth seeing.
