It all began with the master locksmith Carl Bornemann, who had a workshop building built in 1816, which was modern for the time. The locksmith's workshop has been well preserved and is therefore an important monument in the history of technology. In the former laundry room you can visit a small exhibition about the history of the Bornemann pump factory.
