      "It's already been in our village for 100 years. Graupa's Christians finally wanted their own church. Mrs. Johanne Klinger donated a piece of wooded land on the outskirts of the village, on Lindenallee. A cemetery was built and the church was dedicated in 1909 - built according to the plans of the Dresden architect Emil Rudolf Kolbe. Using the building material from the region, Saxon sandstone, the builders erected a clearly structured church interior with a surrounding gallery. The art professor Selmar Werner, who has lived in Graupa since 1910, created the figure of Christ above the entrance door.. .."
