On the small island of Norröra, time seems to have stood still. Between pine trees and the archipelago lie the typical red wooden houses, familiar from "Holiday on Crow Island" ("Saltkråkan").
Many scenes, such as the carpenter's farm and the merchant's house, have been preserved and still reflect simple, rural Sweden. The bright Falun red of the facades—sourced for centuries from the Falun copper mine—protects the wood and continues to characterize Swedish villages.
A walk across the island feels like a visit to Astrid Lindgren's World.
