A splendid neo-Gothic building, today's parish church, was built on the site of the Lüchtringen church from the Baroque era, which was destroyed by lightning in 1901. The interior is also worth seeing. The space is very generous for a village church. I found the church open.

The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Johannes Baptist in Lüchtringen was built in the neo-Gothic style at the beginning of the 20th century after the previous building was struck by lightning and completely destroyed. Because of its spacious design, it is also known as the Weserdom. The church and community belong to the Corvey Pastoral Association in the Höxter Deanery of the Archdiocese of Paderborn.
Luchtringen has had its own church for around 1100 years, as evidenced by a Romanesque baptismal font, which is now in the Diocesan Museum in Paderborn.
