The sculpture welcomes the hikers as they step out of the forest onto the plateau in the saddle of the transition from Gaisberg to Nockstein. From there you can already see the second sculpture near the summit, which offers a view of the city of Salzburg.
The artist Georg F. Walter says: "With spirit, soul and hand, I want to give something back to nature, the Nockstein as guardian of Salzburg, with the wish that the sculptures should emanate a healing, life-affirming force (Vita Salubritas)!"
