Hamilton is your typical small rural Kansas town and is both normal and beautiful for exactly those reasons. Not a lot seems to have changed since the days of old. Main Street is still the same broad street that cowboys used to drive their livestock through, and the local bank, postal office and convenience store are still prominently there. And that's exactly what I loved about this place. It's a lovely little town to visit after many miles of prairie grasslands. The folks at the local bar are as friendly as you could wish for. Great place for restocking on food and energy.
