The old half-timbered village church, dedicated to an unknown saint, stands in the middle of the village. It is not known when it was built. However, the year 1617 is written above the entrance. The interior consists of a flat barrel ceiling and galleries on the north side and a two-storey one on the west side. The gallery parapets are hand-painted with passion scenes on the west gallery and apostles on the north gallery (17th century). The altarpiece from 1615 with a three-part predella shows the Last Supper, the Crucifixion group and Doubting Thomas. Above the late Gothic carved altar, which is painted on the back. The altar is crowned by an aedicule. The church tower has a half-timbered structure filled with a peasant dance.

A small and romantic village church. She has her own charm.

The village church of Wieserode is a half-timbered building with a nave and a square west tower. It embodies a type of church building that is rarely found in the Harz region and is one of the oldest surviving half-timbered churches in Saxony-Anhalt. According to an inscription, it was built in 1617 and extended to the east again in 1670/80. The interior, closed with a flat barrel vault, is characterized by a one-story west gallery and a two-story north gallery. The gallery parapets show hand-crafted paintings from the early 17th century. The altarpiece, into which a late Gothic carved altar has been incorporated, is remarkable. It has a three-part, painted predella and a crowned aedicule.
