A 75 ha large pen area with about 60 houses as a park created with carp pond and rose garden.
Very pretty to look at and a lovingly maintained clean area.

The Protestant theologian Johann Hinrich Wichern founded his so-called rescue houses for children and young people in Hamburg and Berlin during the industrial revolution in the 19th century.
With its red clinker brick buildings located around the church, the Johannesstift looks like a small village in its own right: with a grocery and book store, a hairdressing salon, a restaurant and a gardening center.
