Road cycling
This monument was inaugurated in 1953 on the occasion of the Fêtes de Wallonie. For the occasion, Maurice Roland sang the Chant des Wallons.
For the inhabitants and the municipal authorities of the time, it perfectly represents the attachment to the manners and customs of Louvierse.
It has two symbols:
- A female wolf. The bronze sculpture by Alphonse Darville (1910-1990) recalls the origin of the town's name and its history. She reproduces the Roman wolf with an attentive gaze, with clearly visible udders, sips of milk.
