I am a small bridge on the edge of the city, in the middle of the meadows but history has passed over me, the one with a capital "S", so to speak .... At least a couple of times ... The first, in 1800, I saw Napoleon Bonaparte pass by, the "first" who, after resting at Palazzo Bellini, with his troops continued on to Milan ... The second still a Napoleon, the "third" who was chasing the Austrians towards Magenta .. . Some say that I was built by Napoleon, but in reality I am much older ...
