The Saldurbach (also Matschtalbach, Italian rio Saldura) is a 21.6 km long stream in Vinschgau in South Tyrol. It drains the Matscher valley in the Ötztal Alps, an area of 100 km². Above Matsch, the stream is diverted to generate electricity. The most important town on the Saldurbach is Schluderns, where the stream reaches the valley floor of the Adige Valley. The Saldurbach flows just below Schluderns into the Puni, which comes from the Planei valley, just before it flows into the Etsch. Source: Wikipedia
