Best Mountain Biking Routes to Medieval Village of Baschi and Church of San Niccolò

Tips

  • Particularly suggestive is the medieval village, intact in its original structure, called "I Buchi", a name deriving from the small size of the houses and alleys, a real ancient world perfectly preserved. The 16th century church of S. Niccolò is declared a national monument and was soberly designed by the Orvieto architect Ippolito Scalza. Inside there is a precious 15th century triptych by Giovanni di Paolo Senese; above the door a beautiful organ from the 1700s with 500 pipes by the Fedeli brothers.
