The Bismarck Tower in Rathenow
The people of Rathenow had a special relationship with Bismarck, since Bismarck's political career began here (he held election speeches in Rathenow in 1848/1849 and, due to his election success, became a member of the second chamber of the Prussian House of Representatives on February 5, 1849).
Otto von Bismarck had already been made an honorary citizen of the city of Rathenow in 1875.
