Here you get the Caribbean feeling very close 😉. The play of colors with the turquoise-green water is wonderful

Far beyond the borders of its native Bavaria, Lake Walchensee is famous for its wonderfully turquoise water. On warm days, surfers, kiters and sailors cavort on the surface of the water, while bathers relax in the sun on the lake shore. All of this is framed in the most beautiful Alpine panorama at an altitude of 800 meters - a small paradise in the middle of Germany.
This paradise is used by holidaymakers from Munich, who only have to travel around 75 kilometers from the state capital to the lake shore, as well as by tourists from all over Germany and the surrounding European countries. As is usual for alpine lakes, the water temperatures of Lake Walchensee are usually around 20 °C, even in midsummer, although temperatures of up to 22 °C are occasionally measured - making the turquoise Alpine jewel ideal for cooling off on hot days or after a long hike .
