Built in the 14th century, expanded in the 15th century, it has retained many Gothic fragments. Rectangular in plan, two-story, with a spacious courtyard inside and a high, square tower. The neo-Gothic façade dates from 1902–1904. The most valuable monuments of the interior are the Gothic Council Hall, with a beautiful vault, and the chapel of St. Jerome with seven valuable paintings.

At the front of the building, from the 15th century, there was an astronomical clock (Orloj) with moving figures and chimes. Its external decoration has changed many times. Currently, there is a socialist realist variant of such a clock from 1955, which replaced the previous clock, destroyed during World War II. Its decoration (scenes from the life and work of the inhabitants of the Hana region) is the work of Karl Svolinski
