When the summer weather is nice, the Dortmund-Ems Canal is often a popular replacement for the outdoor pool ... including dangerous bridge jumping!

Deusener Bridge (on the Dortmund-Ems Canal near Dortmund-Deusen)
At operating kilometer 1,986, the Deusener Bridge leads the Weidenstrasse over the Dortmund-Ems Canal. It has the bridge number 1 and was built in 1953 as a truss bridge with a span of 56.00 meters and a width of 10.50. It is operated by the WSA Duisburg-Meiderich. Right next to the bridge is the rowing performance center with the FS98 canoe department and the Germania rowing club from 1929.
Here it is not possible to change the side of the water without climbing stairs.

The walk along the canal is worth it. In good weather, please watch out for pedestrians.
