Hiking

The walls, one of the symbols of Cittanova, were built starting from the 13th century, during the period when the city came under the rule of the Republic of Venice, partly overlapping previous structures. They feature a typical toothed crenellation and were built of local limestone. During the Renaissance, they were reinforced with circular defensive towers, while the oldest square tower is located near what was once the main gate.
