The Church of Santiago in Albarracín is a beautiful example of religious architecture with a rich history. Built in its present form around 1600 by Alonso de Barrio Dajo, the church was completed in 1726 with the completion of its tower.
The church has a single nave structure with a star-shaped ribbed roof. Among its altarpieces, the Epistle altarpiece by the master Jerónimo Martínez, dedicated to San Sebastián, stands out. The main altarpiece is dedicated to the Apostle Santiago, with a carving from the 18th century.
The church is located near the Plaza Mayor and next to Portal de Molina street, accessible by a staircase that leads to a small square where the church and the old parish house of Santiago are located, now converted into a hotel.

The church is the work of the architect Alonso del Barrio Dajo, its construction took place between 1600 and 1626.
The tower, which is still later, has a square floor plan in its lower body, made of stone, while the body of bells, also quadrangular, and the octagonal top or lantern, are made of brick. These upper bodies have a slight inclination, like so many other buildings in the historic center of Albarracín.
