In the list of architectural monuments in Oberaurach, six architectural monuments are listed for Oberschleichach, including the Catholic parish church of St. Laurentius, a gabled hall building with a recessed choir, gabled roof, slated ridge turret and cut stone structures in sandstone, inscribed "1614 renovated under Prince Bishop Julius Echter von Mespelbrunn". The nave was extended in 1883.

Laurentius of Rome (* possibly in Osca (Hispain) or Laurentum (Italy); † August 10, 258 in Rome) was a Roman deacon at the time of Pope Sixtus II and died as a martyr. He is venerated as a saint in several denominations. His feast day is August 10 in the Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican and Evangelical Churches and August 11 in the Armenian Apostolic Church. The saint (St. Laurentius) is considered the best-known bearer of the name Laurentius.
