The Parish Church of the Assumption:The parish church of Niederheimbach is on the Rheinstraße and until 1750 it was the patron saint of St. Nicholas. Today's church owes its appearance largely to the building work carried out by Peter Marx from Trier between 1913-15 and 1915-1921.The choir tower (with round arch frieze) of the parish church of St. Mariae Himmelfahrt dates from the second quarter of the 13th century; it was later increased. The tower has a pointed helmet roof with four corner turrets (17th century). Inside there is a ribbed vault; also the former sacristy (today chapel). The year inscription 1516 was dated on a keystone. The Gothic side chapel, now used as the entrance, was built in the 14th century. The baroque choir in the west consists of an axis and a three-sided end with a mirror vault (18th century).
Unfortunately the church was closed today
