The 7.909-hectare Prügelwiesen conservation area includes a valley with flat limestone moor and sedge reeds with Davall sedges, as well as damp and wet meadows with orchards in the transition area between the Main-Taunus foothills and Vortaunus natural areas. The purpose is to preserve and secure their importance for the ecosystem, biotope and species protection and the landscape. In order to protect the species-rich grassland community, the area should be used extensively for agriculture, arable land should be converted into grassland and the meadow orchards should be tended. The area is home to endangered viper tongue ferns, as well as animals such as the camel runner (a ground beetle) and the rare marsh cricket. In 2015, 6 pieces were still recorded on Davall sedges, but the population is declining sharply. The watercourse that rises from the spring swamp is piped and flows into the Klingenbach, which drains into the Main via the Wickerbach
