The Old Church of Sodankylä is a wooden church built in 1689. It is one of the oldest and best preserved wooden churches in Finland and is located in the middle of an old cemetery not far from the New Church from 1859. Since the completion of the New Church, the Old Church has only been used in the summer for special occasions.
