The building of today's town hall was built in 1861 as a cotton mill. On May 10, 1930, it was inaugurated as the town hall.
In the years 1999/2000, the building, which is located directly on the federal highway 101, was renovated and expanded. The ground floor was completely renovated in 2018/2019. A large, modern citizen service area is now available to visitors to the town hall, in which a large number of requests can be processed. The conversion also required improvements in fire protection and the centralization of archive rooms.
