If the old town of Hermannstadt were a book, it would certainly be a very large magical book, covered in the dust of history. It would be made of leather, have parchment pages, and be adorned with golden lettering. It would probably have a few dog-ears from enthusiastic readers and, when opened, would smell of history, wood, bricks, mici, corn, wine, mild cheese (Telemea), and of course freshly baked bread. It is unique when you sit in the evening with a glass of wine among the old houses, listening to the tales of the Transylvanian Saxons and chatting with them.
