The St. Georg chapel in Bühren has not had such a long history. In 1948 the first harvest festival was planned in Bühren and over the next few years a separate fairground was built and St. George the dragon slayer was appointed as the patron saint of the club, who is also sung about in the club song from 2007: "Saint George protect our valley". . The festival was initially opened with a service in Dumicke, but in 1989 the village community built its own chapel in Bühren. True to the motto: small but fine. The interior of the chapel has just enough space for four benches and the wood paneling on the sides give the chapel a cozy atmosphere. Of course, it received St. George as its patron and was consecrated on October 29, 1989. The small chapel is located on the outskirts of the village of Bühren and is the annual meeting point of the local history and riding club in Bühren, which celebrates its patron saint's festival in and around the St. George chapel. Today the harvest festival will be opened there on Saturday with a prayer.
