The landscape is characterized by the post glacial rockfall. The ground here is not solid, but rather a pile of coarse boulders, topped by a humus layer. This can be seen in many places in the forest here.

Unfortunately, I chose the unspectacular vantage point on Ötz, the Kanzel. Due to the characteristics of the path, the Kluft variant would certainly have been more exciting 🤷♂️
