The Casa del Patriarca is located in Selaya and is currently owned by the city council, where it works as a cultural center with a library and a multipurpose room inside, including art exhibitions.
It is a house also known as the Casona de José Arce Rebollar, who was Archbishop of Zaragoza and Burgos, and was built during the 17th century with a rectangular floor plan and built with ashlars and ashlars in the corners and openings.
On its facades we can see wrought iron pulpit balconies, a sundial at noon in the right corner of the main face of the building. There is also the following inscription in one of its openings: “This house was made by Francisco de Rebollar. Year of 1723.” and of course the most attractive are the two coats of arms. One of them is located in the highest part of the tower and the other coat of arms is on the main façade of the house. Both shields with the arms of the surnames Abascal and Zorrilla.
