Excellent, off road but paved surface - good for bikes, but could be a little smoother in places. Worth it for being clear of traffic for a good few KM.

The Roe Green Loopline is a 7.2 kilometre traffic-free walking and cycling route that starts in Monton and runs all the way to the border with Bolton.

The council has consistently invested in the loopline over the last ten years creating a very high quality route that is popular with cyclists, school children and dog walkers.

Works to the final two stretches of the route between Tynesbank and Mesne Lea School and between Anchor Lane and Mount Skip Lane were completed in summer 2016.
