In 1652 the school and prayer house was inaugurated. In 1660, Obersteinach and Untersteinach received their own pastor and the cemetery was laid out. The first church was built in the middle between the two places in 21 years of construction. It was inaugurated on August 23, 1705. In 1720 an organ was purchased. In 1894 the first church was demolished due to dilapidation.
