Weißenseifen Artists' Colony Sculpture Garden

Weissenseifen is mainly known as an artists' settlement, which developed from the 1950s. From the 1960s, the activities were strongly influenced by the artist Albrecht Klauer-Simonis. It is mainly painters and sculptors who chose Weißenseifen as a place of work and residence. The Förderkreis Weißenseifen, which is organized in the umbrella organization of the State Working Group for Sociocultural & Cultural Education Rhineland-Palatinate, organizes a symposium every year, for the first time in 1975.

The garden with the many different stone sculptures fascinates us at first sight. The Phi, reminiscent of A&O, is impressive as a stone gate. Many sculptures reveal an artistically trained hand, some things carved in stone appear rather simply designed.
All in all a real eye-catcher.

A symposium is held once a year from mid-July to mid-August in the Weißenseifen artists' settlement. It is an art event for artists, professionals and amateurs.
