St. Joseph's Church was built in 1969 of reinforced concrete with a facade of well-hewn stone from Stubllavaça, the same source used for the Church of St. Anthony of Padua in Binač. The facing stones are inclined and tinted grey, and the building is topped with a Latin cross inscribed as follows: Martirët tanë 1846–1848 ("Our Martyrs 1846–1848").

The three naves, in which the pews stand, each end with a main feature of the church. The main part leads to the choir, the right to the baptistery and the left to the pulpit, as in St. Anthony of Binač. The central altar contains relics and is adorned with an engraved "M" which, like the cross, commemorates the expulsion of Karadak, an atrocity of 1846-1848 in which Catholic Albanians were expelled from four villages by Ottoman Empire troops and forced to to settle in Turkey, many died on the way.

The apse walls contain notable mural paintings: the front depicts the Last Supper, the right wall Calvary and the left wall is used with the right to form a diptych on the Expulsion.
