The Plauer See is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Mecklenburg Lake District, a water landscape formed during the Ice Age. It has a north-south extension of about 15 kilometers and an average depth of 6.8 meters, the deepest point is 25.5 meters. With its wide, natural shores and quiet bays, the lake offers a safe home for a large number of animals.

The Plauer See is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Mecklenburg Lake District. With its broad, natural banks, it offers many birds a place of retreat and a home. If you are out and about at the lake, with a little patience you can even observe such rare animals as the osprey or the bittern.
The beautiful banks not only inspire birds, but also sunbathers and swimmers in summer. At numerous bathing spots you can spread your towel on sandy beaches or sunbathing lawns and go into the water.
If you are also interested in other activities, the Plauer See offers you the opportunity to row, paddle, surf, sail, dive or go water skiing in various places. You can also get active outside of the water, namely with your bike. A path leads around the lake, on which you can circumnavigate the water. And if you like it so much at Plauer See that you would like to stay longer, the campsite on the lake is ideal for staying overnight.

The cycle lane is of the type "Royal TS" - routes of this quality class are easy and safe to drive on (tarred or paved), not driven by cars, have a wonderful view or interesting route. My recommendation 🚴♀️👍😎
