It depicts Adolf Dassler, the founder of the sporting goods company Adidas, and was created by the sculptor Josef Tabachnyk. The statue sits like a spectator in the stadium stands.

The life-size bronze statue has been reproduced and now also stands in the new 'Flagship Adidas Store' in New York City, which is the largest Adidas store in the world.[1] The sculpture's opening in New York City took place on December 1, 2016.[2][3] Since January 2019, another original of the statue has been standing at the entrance of the Adidas store at 22 Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris
