"This is a round, flat surface used for threshing (separating the fruit from the straw) grain (wheat, barley, etc.). It is made of upright, rectangular, 50 cm high slabs of stone or dry stone (stones without clay) surrounded. The ground is shaped to be straight and hard on which livestock such as oxen or horses walk while baling and threshing the grain."
