According to legend, there are seven boys who once looked after the horses of the Spornitz farmers and played skittles with sausages and balls made of breadcrumbs to pass the time. As punishment, they were turned to stone. When the Spornitz miller used one of the stones for his garden wall, it began to bleed. He quickly brought it back to its original place, where it has remained untouched and undisturbed along with the other stones to this day.die-lewitz.de/lewitz_erleben/Gesucht-und-found/Orte/spornitz
