Best Hikes to Sant Cristòfol de Busa

Tips

  • The first written reference to the place of Busa is found on December 29, 989, when Count Ermengol d’Urgell sold the mountain of Llord with the church of Santa Maria to the Levite Cixilià. These possessions bordered Mount Busa.
In 1068, Arsenada, Mir's wife, left a hundred dollars for the work of Sant Cristòfol de Busa.
Some fragments of the old Romanesque church of its walls are preserved, integrated into a new 18th-century building, which has been renamed.
These are especially visible on the west wall, where until not too many years ago you could see the line of slabs that formed the roof.
We can also see the arches of an old two-eyed belfry.
