  • The Cathedral is one of the most famous buildings in Calabria. It was built on the remains of a pre-existing sanctuary (Santa Ciriaca) dating back to the 8th century, between 1085 and 1120 under Norman rule. The three-nave building with a Latin cross in Byzantine-Romanesque-Norman style measures 1898 square meters and is the largest Romanesque church in southern Italy.
