Mountain Biking Highlight
Attention: Since last year, the snake path for bicycles, especially MTB, has been completely closed and driving is punishable. Verbal attacks between hikers and bikers should therefore be a thing of the past. A pensioner from Zell reports to me that this is not the case, and he is now regularly on the way on behalf of the district office to get rid of the incorrigible. And apparently there is actually more than enough of it, which the deep water-filled furrows in the soft forest floor on the way reveal. The ignorance of some contemporaries towards bans can apparently only be stemmed by sensitive fines. A pity...

It is absolutely crappy that this wonderful quiet trail, even in a natural forest area, is destroyed by ruthless MTB idiots.
We, the MTB community, should both respect and protect nature, as well as hikers and nature lovers do not make us enemies.
Please leave the Schlangenweg in peace !!!

Hello everybody,Wanted to incorporate this beautiful forest path into our planned tour Eberhard 1, 2 and 3. Does anyone know about the current situation? Is the snake path officially closed now? What about the Eberhard trails? Thank you for a short info. Unfortunately, they do not come from the Hassberge area and do not want any problems. Greetings Michael

To Wolf Streckers strange appeal:
If you look at the foot / tire tracks on the snake trail, you notice that most nature lovers who appreciate the snake trail have meanwhile switched to MTB. Because they became hooligans who want to bother hikers? No! Because they, like me, want to "experience" this wonderful path (also) differently than wandering - and are allowed!
And: If the cyclists were not, the way in the back part would have grown over.
Only, if you demand mutual (!) Consideration, you have my understanding.
