Tips

  • Craiganour boasts the only Scottish Skyspace. This is an art installation created by American artist James Turrell who is best known for his work on the Roden Crater in Arizona. The Craiganour Skyspace is a beautifully designed and constructed folly, set in birch woodland, and attracts artists and non artists alike.

An oval aperture in the ceiling frames the sky to make it appear two dimensional and allows for the appreciation of light, particularly at sunrise and sunset. Time spent in the Skyspace is totally relaxing and is the perfect way to ease oneself into a day or wind down at the end.
