In 1910, Count Ferdinand Reventlow bought lands near Tillitse from his brother in order to build his retirement home here. Reventlow previously worked for many years as a diplomat and envoy in the USA, Spain, Italy, France and Portugal. The representative main building was designed in 1913 according to plans by the architect Hans Christian Amberg. The client wanted the living rooms to have a view of the Baltic Sea, which is almost 900 meters away. The manor house and its lands were inherited several times after Reventlow's death; today it is owned by Gustav and Susanne von Rosen. Since 2004, the location can be rented as holiday or conference accommodation. There is also a small recreation area with various information boards directly at the entrance to the manor house.
