Hiking

A place with history on the banks of the Main: Here, from the Middle Ages until the 19th century, a ford and later a ferry connected Flörsheim am Main and Raunheim. The striking sandstone block with the inscription "Historical crossing of the Main on the old Schnelser Weg. Replacement of the ferry connection by the first Opel bridge in 1928" commemorates the importance of this crossing. The Schnelser Weg connected Flörsheim with Hassloch and served believers as a route to services. The view of old Flörsheim today invites you to linger and reflect on the region's history.
