The bird observation station is located directly between the Pilsum Lighthouse and the village of Pilsum. From the station, you can observe the flora and fauna undisturbed.

The observation post was built by a project group from the Norden District Adult Education Center.

The project was commissioned by the Nature Conservation Union (NABU) in the former Norden district.

The project was funded by the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea Foundation.
