Village of 4 inhabitants (650 m) on the French Way as it passes through the Galician province of Lugo. 100 km from Santiago. Located just over 11 km from the town of Sarria, its fame stems from the fact that from its surroundings there are 100 km to reach Santiago through the French Way. The marker that indicates it is at the entrance to this village, just after crossing the previous one, A Brea. It is the minimum distance required by the Cathedral of Santiago for the granting of the compostela, the ecclesiastical certificate of the pilgrimage.

Just one kilometer after Morgade you reach the center of Ferreiros - with about 20 inhabitants -, with a public hostel for pilgrims in an old rural school rehabilitated in 1992 and a toponym with roadside resonances, since in the Middle Ages it had blacksmith artisans who attended to the cavalry and repaired the pilgrims' shoes, as the Frenchman Guillaume Manier (18th century) relates. The landscape and the path through this area, exuberant and native, are among the most beautiful on the Galician route.
